Affiliate marketing has continued to evolve from its hay day when an affiliate could put an ad in the PPC search engines pay 2 to 5 cents and make money, today PPC cost can run from 10 cents to over $20.00 a click in some markets. Direct linking to the product page with an affiliate link is all but gone.
The new affiliates if they want to make money today need a full list of skills, they have to build landing pages, squeeze pages, blogs and offer incentives to buy using their link. Some believe this evolution in affiliate marketing will keep many new would be affiliate marketers from even attempting to try their hand at it.
This is sad because there is still a very large opportunity to make a living online for those who are willing to be innovative and work at it. All that these changes have done is create a new breed of affiliate using new techniques, software and tools of which a lot if not all can be found for free.

Now here is something that will really surprise you and this includes the people paying top dollar for their membership less than 10% will even use these products and of the 10 % almost all will make no changes to the product. What this means for the aggressive affiliate who will take just a small amount of time and make some changes to theses PLR books that they now have in their hands, a nice little gold nugget to sell or give away.
Why in the world would you want to give this jewel away? Very simple, ask yourself one question why do the majority of people go online? And our job as affiliates and marketers is to provide them with good quality relevant information, now we can offer this in a number of ways, websites, blogs, e-books and reports just to name a few.
The main problem with websites is they are normally static, so we have come up with all sort’s of ways to capture their e mail address so we can do follow ups but as with all good ideas more and more marketers abuse this so visitors are more than like going to leave and not give up their address and why should they, the visitor has no clue who you are or if you are going to send him e-mails day in and day out, the new breed of marketer knows that before you even ask for someone’s e mail you need to build up some trust with them.
Now in comes the new wave affiliate marketer, not only does he not want the visitors e-mail address he freely hands out his gold nuggets to anyone that wants them, he even go’s so far as to place free ads and puts them in free e-book directories.
Has this affiliate lost his mind? The truth is this is a very shrew affiliate, what he is doing is call viral marketing he has taken that little gold nugget and embedded his affiliate links in key parts though out the whole e-book, by giving it away and asking for nothing not even an e-mail address he has removed any objection to downloading this book and hopefully reading it and clicking on the links inside.
The thirst for quality free information extends across the entire internet, and includes webmasters and other affiliates looking for the quick and easy way to supply it to their visitors, and the new breed affiliates know this and are supplying a free service to a hungry market while at the same time creating an army that is handing out their links all over the web for free.
