  • Marketing Your Squeeze Pages Using PPC Traffic!

Building your list is imperative to your long term success. You may already know this, but the difficult part in this process is actually getting visitors to view your squeeze or opt-in pages.

When it comes to promoting your squeeze pages using pay-per-click strategies (PPC), things can get a bit tricky. If not monitored closely, PPC campaigns can be quite costly and you could end up spending a lot of money for little results.

And since your squeeze page is focused on generating a subscriber list, rather than directly selling to potential customers, it might take some time before you are able to recoup your advertising costs.

Still, if you are familiar with PPC it can be a viable option in which to generate instant traffic to a new squeeze page, especially since it’s an instant method of driving targeted traffic to your web pages. If you do decide to use PPC to jumpstart your list building campaign, consider using it only as a starting point.

Once your campaign is running successfully and you are consistently building your email list, consider pulling back on your PPC campaigns and focusing on building your subscriber base using other marketing methods instead.

Just make sure that you monitor your results and pay special attention to your costs, versus your overall profitability from your list to ensure that it’s feasible
    to continue with your campaigns.

    Participate in Giveaways!

While this isn’t the best approach to take – especially if you are interested in more relevant, targeted leads -participating in giveaways is an easy way to build massive email lists. I’ve personally used giveaways as a way to build generic lists, and then by sending out targeted offers to my subscribers I am able to weed out the freebie seekers from active customers.

I can then manage my lists more effectively by using the built in filtering system to unsubcribe a user from one list when they subscribe to another. What this means is that you can grow a large email list from giveaways and then offer highly targeted and specific downloads for each different niche.

This way you can filter out your list quickly and easily. As a subscriber joins a new list that is focused on a certain topic, you can offer them specific offers and they can be automatically removed from your generic list and placed into a targeted one once they download your offer.

Using this strategy you can take advantage of the exposure available by joining giveaway offers and special events  while still being able to build relevant mailing lists. When joining giveaway websites, you will be required to offer a free download in the same way that you do on your own squeeze page. However, once you have joined as a contributor you will be able to edit your gift so that it directs potential subscribers to your hosted squeeze page.

This way subscribers join your list directly, and are not managed by the giveaway host.

Why You Need to Follow-up With Your List!

You just can’t argue with the facts. Following up with your subscribers is key to building your online income. However this is one area where many online marketers fall short.

Statistics show that most people do not buy the first time they read about a product. Usually it takes up to 7 or more times before they are willing and most importantly, ready to purchase something.

If you only send out one or two messages about your product then chances are you are missing a lot of sales and leaving plenty of profits on the table. That is why using a good follow up system is extremely important to your online success.

But, just what is a “follow up” system?

A follow up system is just what it sounds like: “A system utilized for following up with customers or potential customers by sending out scheduled notices”. Many times this follow up system will generate more profits for you than the initial sale or mailing that you send out.

In all probability it is likely that a subscriber that has bought from you in the past will be happy to buy from you again If they were satisfied with their previous purchase.

That is why it is important to have a good follow up system in place that recommends additional products to your customers. The object here is to send your mailing list of subscribers more than one emailing after your initial promotional email. Now, does this mean you have to pitch the same product every time?

    No!

And, should you send out the emails consecutively?

    YES – and No.

That last question is really up to you and how fast you want to profit from your list. It also depends on any pre-determined qualities you’ve applied to your specific mailing list. For instance, do you have a “set” schedule for when you send out mailings to your list?

    Weekly – Bi-Weekly – Monthly or Quarterly?

If you sent out a promotional email and you didn’t get the sales that you had hoped for the first time its not always because your subscriber didn’t like the offer. It could be that your subject line didn’t catch their eye and didn’t open the email, they might not have had cash the week you sent it out or maybe your email didn’t make it through their spam filters.

The point is there are a million reasons why your readers may not of  jumped on your offer the first time you sent it out. And that is the whole point. It takes more than just the initial “offer” to make sales. And if you’re not willing to go this extra step, believe me, someone else will!

Take a chance. Send out a couple extra emails to your costomers/subscribers. The worst they can do is delete it, or unsubscribe. In which case, you stood more to lose than gain from an unresponsive or uninterested subscriber.

Whatever you decide on when to send follow up mailings, it’s a good idea to let your subscribers know in advance to expect these types of commercial mailings from you, and approximately how often they will receive them.

Now that you know you need to have a follow up system why not take the time to write up several  follow up emails for the product that you are promoting and plug them into your autoresponder.

This way you know that once a person subscribes to your list or buys one of your products they will receive the follow up messages that will help close the sale or offer more products. I guarantee if you take the time to do this for every product that you offer you will see your profits increase.
