This is going to sound wierd, but making money online is NOT about making money.

Let me explain…

Creating a successful online venture isn’t about the money, it’s about the people. If your only focus is trying to make as much money as you can, then you won’t succeed. However, if you focus your efforts on helping others to fill their own needs and desires, then the money will follow.

Once you’ve researched and decided on what niche market your going to focus on, you then need to find out who  the people you are targeting. You need to understand who they are, what they want, and how you can fill their need. Focus on delivering valuable information that can help your “people” to achieve their desired outcomes and you can’t help but be successful.

Make Money On The Internet

Generating an additional $30,000 a year online isn’t actually THAT difficult. Listen it’s not easy, but if you’re prepared to work at it, then it can be achieved. For example, if you’re running a paid membership model then you’re talking about aiming to earn $2,500 a month. If you’re selling memberships to your site at $25 then that’s
only 100 memberships.

If your retention rate is good, even if you start off slowly and only add one new member per day, it won’t take long to build a membership base into the hundreds. If you’re running a free to join membership site on the other hand, then you’re looking at trying to achieve $82 a day. This could be achieved in a number of different ways.

Ok, let’s assume your One Time Offer (OTO) sells at $47 and you know (from past experience) that it converts at 3% (very conservative for an OTO) then you need to focus on getting about 58 new sign-ups a day. Now keep in mind you ONLY need these 58 people to join your free membership site and the rest will take care of itself. The law of  averages will prevail and if 3% of every 58 people who join your site decide to buy your OTO then you’ll hit your  target of $82 a day.

(3% x 58 people = 1.74 people x $47 = $82)

Now 58 signups per day might sound like a lot, but you need to keep in mind that you’re not just reliant on OTO sales. Each day you’re building your list which enables you to generate “income on demand” by promoting relevant and useful products to your members. Realistically you should be banking on the fact that you can generate as  much  per month from your new found list with repeat sales as you can from OTO sales.

As we enter into the second year of the recession many people are searching the internet trying to learn how they can be making money online easy, and the sad thing is most will fall prey to the slick sales pages telling them that making money on line is easy.

The truth is starting any business online or off is not at all easy, it takes hard work, learning new skills, money, and devoting time to get any business up and running the advantage to an online business is it takes a lot less money, some will even tell you that you can do it for free, but that is only partially true.
