Why Most People Fail In Affiliate Marketing

One of the main problems with starting an online business is getting past all the hype that is out there on how easy it is to make money online I’m sure you know what I talking about we all see the sites telling us we can make money in weeks with their program, many new people go into it believing that in a week or 2 they will be raking in the cash, and that is why most people fail in affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is a business, you can do it part time of full time but it does require work if you are going to make any kind of money at all. When I started many, many years ago you had to learn HTML code if you wanted a website, it took me months to get my first site up and it looked really bad, but I kept at it until I got one that was passable.

Today you can bang up a site in hours that looks great by just a click of your mouse and the drag and drop of modules, this removes a lot of time for the affiliate marketer, and the basics of affiliate marketing are not complicated, there really are only 3 steps:

    1.  find a group of people with a burning need that are willing to spend money to fill that need.
    2.  find or created a product that fills that need.
    3.  bring the two together.

The formula is very simple, but getting all 3 parts of the formula right is not, and if you been playing the affiliate game for any time at all you know that this is a fact that most of the websites don’t talk about.

number 2 is the easy part there are products for about everything you can imagine the hard part is number 1 and number 3 and most affiliate marketers never get all 3 and that is why most affiliates will fail.

If as an affiliate you do stumble across number 1 you still have to bring the 2 together which means traffic lots of traffic, and if you just starting out you really want free traffic, and the best way to get that is using article directories and proper seo for your site, again both of these are easy enough to learn, but there is still one major problem.

You have to pick the right key words or all your work will be for nothing what good is a 1,000 views and no clicks to the vendors page, if you been at this even for a little while you know what I’m talking about.

So whats the answer on how to bring all 3 together, well for # 1 searching forums in your market looking for the questions that are being asked the most is a great way but does require a lot of your time, you can use spy tools to track adword ads, and /or use Google Insights and Google Trends.

    # 2 is easy as I said above, you can go to clickbank, 2checkout and a host of other places to find a product or simple go to Google and do a search for the product you need and add to the term affiliate.

    # 3 is the main reason why most people fail in affiliate marketing and # 1 is the second reason, the macanics of building a site they learn, and some even find a group of people with a burning need then they fail to bring the 2 together.

Marketing Your Squeeze Pages Using PPC Traffic!

Building your list is imperative to your long term success. You may already know this, but the difficult part in this process is actually getting visitors to view your squeeze or opt-in pages.

When it comes to promoting your squeeze pages using pay-per-click strategies (PPC), things can get a bit tricky. If not monitored closely, PPC campaigns can be quite costly and you could end up spending a lot of money for little results.

And since your squeeze page is focused on generating a subscriber list, rather than directly selling to potential customers, it might take some time before you are able to recoup your advertising costs.

Still, if you are familiar with PPC it can be a viable option in which to generate instant traffic to a new squeeze page, especially since it’s an instant method of driving targeted traffic to your web pages. If you do decide to use PPC to jumpstart your list building campaign, consider using it only as a starting point.

Once your campaign is running successfully and you are consistently building your email list, consider pulling back on your PPC campaigns and focusing on building your subscriber base using other marketing methods instead.

Just make sure that you monitor your results and pay special attention to your costs, versus your overall profitability from your list to ensure that it’s feasible
    to continue with your campaigns.
